Nissa Burkhalter was the ex of Ronald DeFeo, an American mass killer. DeFeo was attempted and indicted for the 1974 homicides of his dad, his mom, two siblings and two sisters in Amityville, Long Island, New York.

DeFeo murdered his family
DeFeo utilized a .35 type Marlin switch activity rifle to slaughter his relatives, who were all in bed at that point: Dad Ronald DeFeo Sr., 43, Mom Louise DeFeo, 43, and Dawn siblings, 18, Allison , 13., Marc, 12, and John, 9. The two guardians were shot twice, while the siblings were each shot. Every one of the casualties were discovered face down on the bed.

Charges – Arrested
At preliminary, his lawyer mounted a craziness protection, asserting that DeFeo heard voices saying his family was contriving against him. He was indicted in 1975 for six checks of second degree murder and got six sentences of 25 years to life in jail.
DeFeo was planned for a parole hearing in July, DOC records online show. In a 2006 prison talk with, DeFeo asserted that he just killed his dad, his mom, and his more established sister, Dawn.
He was serving his 25-year to life sentence at the Sullivan Correctional Center in Fallsburg, New York, as indicated by the state Department of Corrections.
Ronald DeFeo’s cause of death
DeFeo kicked the bucket at 69 years old. Newsday originally revealed his passing. The sentenced killer was taken to Albany Medical Center and articulated dead at 6:35 p.m.
A post-mortem performed by the Albany County Medical Examiner’s Office will decide an authority reason for death.
